The orchestra was started in 2019 by Jan Modelski, an accomplished musician who is passionate about community music, bringing local musicians together.
This orchestra’s repertoire strays from the conventional classical set, exploring instead the wonderful world of pop, theatre and musicals .

Jan (aka John) was interviewed for the Wirral Beacon immediately after a joint concert at the Williamson Art Gallery with our friends from the Wirral Big Band.
Whether you are an experienced player, or new to your instrument, we would love you to play with us. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm at Brackenwood Golf Club House. There are no auditions – all you need is an instrument!
